Unless, of course, you are considering the mint Andra II that we also have.The Savoy uses the incomparable Dynaudio Esotar tweeters and four 12" woofers. The Esotars were expertly executed for excellent rendering of details, refined without ever sounding harsh. With proper amplification, the bass is stop-and-go tautness, thunderous when called for. Just for kicks, sometimes we hook up a Velodyne DD-1812 or JL Audio Gotham because our demo room is a cavernous 40x30ft. These are quite inefficient and in our opinion, requires at least 300W to really sing (the factory recommends 200W solid state, 100W tube). We recommend 500W solid state, 200W if bi-amped, or 200W with tubes. We have tried them hooked up to dCS and VTL MB-1250's, Pass X-600.5's, Bryston 7B-SST's, McIntosh MC501's, MC1.2kW's, MC2301's and more. We have 3 other pairs of speakers in the same price range that require less power, Focal JMlab Nova Utopia Be ($45,000 MSRP), the original Grande Utopia ($70,000 MSRP), and Peak Consult El Diablo ($75,000 MSRP).They are in excellent condition.
